Thanksgiving didn’t originate with man. Long before we were born, God set in motion a reason–and an opportunity–to give thanks. Throughout the Bible, God instructed His people to bring a “thanks” offering. Why 1 Chronicles 16:24 says, Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Give thanks for simple beauty, seen by eyes always looking:
Give thanks for simple creatures, all part of God’s design:
Give thanks for simple gifts, created by God’s own hand:
Give thanks for simple laughter, and the joy of children’s voices:
Give thanks for simple joys, bathed with family memories:
So many ways, so many things! (And not enough room in this blog for all the reasons and all the pictures.) Simple faith, amazing grace, unconditional love, complete forgiveness—all from the hand of a God who is good–all the time.
Simple things, simple thanks, for the One who gives us all good things to enjoy, who works out all things for our good, and who is good–because He is God! No matter what God sends or what He “allows,” giving thanks will change our lives–every day of the year!
