We’re not talking about food and water here. And yes, maybe some people can “survive” physically, but without this one thing, only a shell remains. “Real” life desperately depends on it.
One Thing You Can’t Live Without

It’s a small word
with huge meaning.
Everyone talks about it.
We all need it. Crave it.
Can’t live without it.
We look to people for it, but they will disappoint.
We won’t find it in a bank account or investment plan.
The government can’t supply it.
Education can’t provide it.
Experience can’t offer it.
Talent won’t bring it.
Even jobs fail to deliver it.
Only One has it.
Only One gives it.
Only One guarantees it.
Because He is it.
Christ in you,
the hope of glory.
We find our hope in Jesus.
He is our Hope.
He is our only Hope.
Nothing else…
will last.
Christ Jesus our hope (1 Timothy 1:1, NIV).
My Personal Prayer for You
Lord Jesus, you know our fickle hearts–and what we think we can’t live without. We cling to shards of meaningless activity or useless things, searching in all the wrong places. But You are our only hope. No one else knows us like You do. And nothing satisfies like You. We have no future without You. We find our hope in you, Jesus. Help us to see You with eyes of faith.
