Spiritual warfare can evoke a variety of responses in the lives of Christ followers. Unawareness of our enemy’s schemes, irrational fear of the term, “warfare,” or attributing too much power to our arch enemy, satan, can leave believers stranded, deceived, and defenseless.
Spiritual warefare is real, and it’s been around since the beginning of creation–far longer than when author Frank Peretti pushed it to the surface in the 80’s in his book, “Piercing the Darkness.”
How can we find confidence to battle our enemy? Where can we find the tools to fight, assured of protection and victory? You can find an assortment of great books on the subject of personal spiritual warfare, but two of the best I have ever read and still recommend are Neil Anders0n’s books, Overcoming the Darkness, and The Bondage Breaker.
The name of Jesus and His powerful Word through prayer are powerful. Be wise. Draw close to Jesus. Keep alert. Our enemy never gives up trying to deceive us. But Jesus will fight with you and for you. He’s already won the battle!
